Biomass co-generation station

The largest thermal power plant of Liepājas enerģija is a biomass co-generation station, which simultaneously produces thermal energy and electric energy. The main fuel of the station is wood chips – renewable and indigenous energy resource.

  • Power: 12MW of thermal energy and 2.3 MW of electric energy
  • Investments: EUR 10.5 million (incl. European Union Cohesion Fund co-financing – EUR 3.1 million)
